Zenith is an evolution of an earlier work that was part of “Falling,” documented in these pages. The project was changed to accommodate a new sound work that is played out of it. The piece was placed alone in a room and the isolation served to subject the viewer to a wash of sound created by adapting a vinyl recording from the “Jackie Gleason Orchestra,” of “I Only Have Eyes For You.” At one point, the record skips over a passage; this passage repeats and is thus transformed over a 10-15 intervals into a sonorous ambient beat that like the heart, fades and stops.
